Pamela Blair
London born, Pamela's
artistic versatility is the result of twenty five years of learning and
working experience in most facets of the creative arts.
Choosing painting as her
initial medium, she progressively studied Ceramic Sculpture, Jewellery
Design aid Manufacture and Resin Sculpture, all at London's Art and
Design College. Part time study of Metalwork aid Welding Techniques was
also undertaken at Technical College. Pamela has also completed a
Ceramic Sculpture Course at the South Brisbane TAFE.
In Pamela's early years
she worked as and artist with Commercial Print aid Movie Studios. She
also designed aid manufactured swimwear aid other wearable art. For over
fifteen years she has taught students in subjects as diverse as
Ceramics, Sculpture, Metal Art, Silk Painting, aid Screening amongst
others. For two years Pamela owned and operated a Creative Arts Gallery
in Noosa Heads.
Pamela has supplied her
works of art to all parts of Australia, and to many parts of the World,
many of which are in private collections, churches aid hotels etc.
She continues to exhibit
in numerous one woman shows aid group exhibitions, and currently
concentrates oil creating figurines and fun pieces in clay. She still
produces Gold, Silver and Metal Sculptures and Jewellery and Fabric
Designs. Many of her larger pieces use a combination of Ceramics aid
enamels.
